Between the river, the park and the industrial units, Colwick has homes and businesses alike. We deal with carpet beetle in both, starting with a proper inspection.
Colwick has housing alongside industrial areas, with Colwick Park and the River Trent nearby. Homes here may have gardens that attract many insects in summer, which means adult beetles around windows. Industrial and commercial premises have a different set of risks, such as stored textiles, office carpets, upholstery and dust in unused rooms.
For houses we inspect carpets, furniture and storage and treat what we find. For businesses, our commercial division offers free surveys and a free written inspection report, which can be shared with a manager or landlord. Either way, we aim to find the feeding site, since treating only the damage seen rarely solves the problem.
Our commercial division carries out free surveys and provides a free written inspection report, so you have a record of what was found and what we propose. We will explain this on the visit. The inspection answers this properly.
Not especially. Carpet beetles depend on fibre and dust rather than damp. Gardens and open windows near the park may bring adults in, but the real issue is what they find indoors. Once we have looked, we can be specific.
Both damage natural fibres, but they are different insects with different larvae, so correct identification matters for treatment.
