Housing and industrial areas sit close together in Colwick. Moths can affect both a home wardrobe and a unit storing textiles or upholstery.
Colwick has housing alongside industrial areas, close to the racecourse, the park and the river. That mix means different moth cases. A home might have wool carpets and wardrobes; a unit might store upholstery foam, blankets or work wear. Moths do not care which, as long as there are natural fibres or hair to feed on and some peace and quiet.
We inspect homes and commercial premises. For businesses, our commercial division offers a free survey and a free written inspection report, so you can see what has been found. We identify the moth, treat affected areas and advise on storage and stock rotation. Fixed pricing with no call-out charge applies, and results depend on the extent of the larvae’s spread.

Not directly. Moths follow food and shelter, not water. Damp can encourage other pests, but clothes moths are mainly about stored fibre and quiet, warm spaces.
They mostly target natural fibres such as wool, silk and fur, particularly if items are soiled or stored undisturbed.
