Between the racecourse, the park and the riverside industrial units, Colwick offers rats water, cover and waste. We deal with homes and businesses alike.
Rats like water, and Colwick has plenty of it, with the River Trent running close by and parkland between the housing and the water. Industrial areas add yards, skips and storage. Business premises with outdoor bins or open loading areas can see activity spill into the homes beside them. Racecourse days bring crowds and food waste, which is worth bearing in mind for premises nearby.
For businesses we offer a free survey and a free written inspection report through our commercial division, and for homes the same thorough check of drains, gardens and roof spaces. Baiting or trapping is selected to suit the site, including any nearby wildlife or pets. We are BPCA members, fully insured and offer appointments to suit.
We survey the yard, bins and buildings, and give a free written inspection report. Treatment is chosen to suit the site, and we take care around water, wildlife and staff.
It is a likely source of activity, but the risk for your property depends on food, shelter and access. Tidy waste, closed bins and proofed buildings reduce the draw significantly.
Rats come for food, water and shelter. Accessible waste, open drains, bird feed and gaps in buildings can all draw them in.

Read the advice →You do not catch bed bugs by being untidy. You catch them from a suitcase, a coat or a sofa. Knowing that makes the first steps much clearer.
