They were carried in, perhaps in a cardboard box, a bag of shopping, a used appliance or a delivery, and a warm kitchen with some moisture did the rest. The countryside outside is not where they came from. Insects seen in daylight can point to a larger group, since the more crowded they are the more they are pushed into the open.
