Surrounded by farmland, Meering is a small settlement where pigeons arrive from the fields. We deal with the barns, sheds and roofs they use for shelter.
With farmland on every side, pigeons have a clear flight path to any building with a dry, sheltered spot. Barns, workshops, stores and older house roofs all qualify, and droppings can build up quickly in unused areas. We survey the whole property, outbuildings included, to see where birds roost and enter. Remote properties can take longer to reach, so we agree a time that works for both of us.
The goal is to leave birds with no comfortable place on your land, not to harm them. Wild birds are protected, so we only use lawful, humane proofing. We explain what we recommend, give a fixed price and provide free advice on cleaning. Appointments can be arranged around your day. Dry stores with no regular traffic tend to be favourite nesting areas, and these should be checked first.
Quiet buildings often attract the most birds, since no one disturbs them. Regular checks and proofing the openings help prevent a build-up of droppings. Even a small gap under a roof sheet can be enough, so we examine each building carefully.
Yes, we cover rural settlements in the Newark area. Give us directions when you call so we can arrange a convenient time. Fixed prices are agreed after the survey, so there are no surprises when the work begins.
No. Proofing is designed to stop birds landing or nesting, and the methods used must be lawful.
