In a village with open countryside around, outbuildings, lofts and older cottages bring carpet beetle larvae closer than people expect. We check the whole picture.
Watnall is a village in Broxtowe borough with open countryside close by. Village homes tend to have extras: outbuildings, garages, attics, and sometimes older timber and plaster. All offer shelter to nesting birds and insects, and the dried remains they leave behind are a food source for carpet beetle larvae, which can then reach the house.
We therefore look both at the rooms where damage shows and at any roof space or outbuilding connected to them. Treatment follows the evidence. If the source is outside the main house, we say so and explain what would help. We cover domestic properties across Nottinghamshire, including villages, with appointments to suit you.
They can. Dead insects, old nests and stored textiles in sheds, garages and attics may feed larvae, which can then move into the house. We include them in the inspection when relevant.
We offer appointments to suit you, including same day visits where possible. Call 0115 937 5117 and we will confirm what is available for your address. We would rather be straight about this than promise too much. It varies from case to case.
Both damage natural fibres, but they are different insects with different larvae, so correct identification matters for treatment.
