With open countryside around Watnall, squirrels have plenty of cover and easy routes to the roof. We survey, treat and show you how to proof.
Watnall is a village in Broxtowe borough, near Nuthall and Kimberley, with open countryside around it. Rural-edge homes often back on to fields, hedges and woodland, and squirrels can use all of them. Outbuildings, such as garages and stores, add more roof space to nest in. A cottage or older house may have weathered timber at the eaves, and those few weak points are all a squirrel needs to enter.
We inspect the main roof and any outbuildings, because squirrels sometimes begin in a shed or garage and move to the house. After that, treatment is carried out lawfully and proportionately. You also get free advice with all treatments, including what to change in the garden. Our work is fully insured, and we offer same day visits where we can.
Garages, sheds and stores can all be used, and a squirrel may then move into the main roof. We check outbuildings during the survey so the whole property is covered.
Squirrels may be more active at certain times, but lofts offer shelter all year. Spring nests need particular care. The survey tells us what is happening on your roof.
Yes. They can chew timber, insulation and cables, and cable damage can be a fire risk.
