Nuthall's post-war homes back onto open land, so adult beetles and nesting wildlife are close. We check indoors and in the roof space to find where larvae begin.
Homes on the edge of an estate, with fields or open land beyond the garden fence, often see more insects coming and going in warm weather. In Nuthall, that makes a window left open in June a plausible route for adult carpet beetles. They lay eggs somewhere quiet, such as a wardrobe floor or behind a bed, and the bristly larvae then spend months feeding.
We inspect those places, along with carpet edges and soft furnishings, and treat where larvae are present. Where a property has a loft, we also look for old nests or insect remains that could be feeding them. Advice on storage and vacuuming is included, along with a free pest prevention survey.
It can bring more insects near the house in warm months, but carpet beetles can reach any home. What matters most is whether they find undisturbed fibre and dust once inside.
It is a check on conditions that let pests in or help them settle, with practical advice. It comes at no extra cost with a treatment, and we tailor it to your property.
Both damage natural fibres, but they are different insects with different larvae, so correct identification matters for treatment.

You have treated the cat and the bites carry on. That is because most of a flea problem is not on the animal at all, it is in the carpets and bedding.
