Bramcote's leafy streets include many detached and semi-detached homes built between the wars and after. Roomy lofts, built-in wardrobes and carpets that run wall to wall are common. Birds are likely to nest in the eaves of homes with mature trees nearby, and old nests are a known food source for larvae that then drift into the rooms below.
