Large post-war estates give mice long runs of similar houses to travel between. We deal with the mice in your home and the gaps that let them in.
On a big post-war estate, the houses were built in rows to the same pattern, so a weak spot in one often repeats along the street. Common ones are gaps where service pipes pass through the wall, loose airbricks and worn door thresholds. Mice that get into one house can move along the roof void or garden boundaries to the next, so it is worth speaking to neighbours as well.
We trace where the mice have been using the house, treat accordingly, and then show you the pattern of gaps to close. Because the layouts are familiar to us, the survey is quick and practical. Neighbours on the same row are welcome to ask us questions too. Many of the houses are built to the same plan, so once we have found a route in one, we can tell you which other parts of the house deserve the same attention, and in what order.
They can, particularly where houses share a roof void or have connected garden boundaries. We check for those routes and advise whether neighbours should look too, because results depend on the whole row rather than one house alone.
We choose methods to suit who lives in the property, including children and pets, and explain what is being used and where. We never describe any treatment as completely safe, so please follow the instructions we give you during the visit.
Mice can squeeze through very small gaps around pipes, vents, doors and airbricks, so even a tidy home can have them.

On a post-war estate, pigeons find the flat roofs, balconies and walkway ledges. Making those spots unusable is what actually moves them on.
Read the advice →Post-war houses were not built with mice in mind, and they have plenty of small openings round pipes and extensions. Finding them is half the battle.
