Larger homes and leafy gardens near the deer park offer mice room to settle. We search the whole building, not just the room where you saw one.
Wollaton is a leafy suburb of inter-war semis and bigger detached houses, where outbuildings, integral garages and mature gardens all offer cover. In a large house, mice can live for some time in a roof space or under a ground floor before anyone notices. Autumn is a typical time for droppings to appear in utility rooms and garages, as the nights cool.
We inspect the exterior first for gaps and then work inwards to the areas where activity shows. Treatment depends on the household and layout, and we explain what we have used. Because the properties are bigger, we make it clear what we have and have not checked. There are no call-out charges and the survey that follows treatment is free.
Not necessarily, but it can take longer to find where mice are active. We inspect thoroughly and tell you honestly where the evidence points, rather than guessing at the extent before we have seen the whole property.
They can shelter around the base and in any hollow edges, especially if the room is not heated all year. We check the joins between conservatory, wall and floor during the visit, along with any pipes or cables passing through.
Mice can squeeze through very small gaps around pipes, vents, doors and airbricks, so even a tidy home can have them.

Large gardens and mature trees are lovely, but they bring wildlife closer to the house. This checklist is aimed at the roofs, sheds and gardens of leafy-suburb homes.
