Cafes, clubs and neighbourhood shops around Woodthorpe Park face pest pressure from open ground on one side and housing on the other.
Businesses beside a public park live with a particular pressure. Grass, shrubs and litter bins draw rodents, and visitors often leave food waste that feeds them. The inter-war and post-war semis around Woodthorpe Park add gardens and alleyways to the mix. A cafe, sports club or small shop here may find that activity follows the seasons, with the quieter winter months pushing rats and mice to look for warmth indoors.
We start with a free survey and give a free written inspection report covering storage, waste, drains and the outside edges of the property. After that we can agree regular visits timed for when you are closed or quiet. You can ask us back between visits if something changes. If the club or cafe is run by volunteers, we can brief them and leave clear written notes so that nothing depends on one person remembering.
Wasp nests grow through summer and the colony dies off in winter, so seating areas can be affected from midsummer. Call and we will arrange a visit, and we can discuss ongoing checks if it recurs.
It does, because activity can build during quiet weekdays without anyone noticing. We can time visits for when you are there, set a pattern around match days and give the committee a written record. That way nothing is missed, and the committee has a record.
Yes. Ongoing contracts help spread the costs of commercial pest control.

When the evenings turn cold, the rats that have been living outside look for somewhere warmer. A semi next to a park can look very inviting indeed.
Read the advice →A cockroach in a family semi comes as a shock, and the first reaction is often embarrassment. They are far more often carried in than invited.
