Where town housing, estates and open land meet, the shops and units on the west side of Nottingham face rodent and insect pressure from several directions.
The Broxtone area, within Broxtowe borough, is a patchwork of town housing, estates and nearby open land, and businesses here range from corner shops to small industrial units. That patchwork makes for varied pest pressures: rats along verges and railway-style embankments in one place, mice in warehouse stock in another. A premises owner often cannot say where the problem began, only that it is back.
