West of Nottingham, Broxtowe borough mixes town streets, estates and open land, so rats can arrive from several directions. We trace the route and treat it.
Here the settings change quickly: town housing in one street, an estate in the next, and open land close by. That variety is a clue to how rats behave, since they use whichever features give food and cover, from drains and garages to field edges and overgrown plots. A property that looks well kept can still sit beside a derelict corner or neglected garden, so the survey covers neighbouring land where we can see it.
We aim to identify both the active area and the entry route, then choose baiting or trapping to suit the property. Free advice covers proofing and tidying. We offer appointments to suit, including same day visits, and fixed cost pricing with no call-out charge. For businesses in the area, our commercial division provides free surveys and written inspection reports.
Talk to your neighbour first, or the landlord or council if relevant. Meanwhile, remove food sources and proof your side. We can survey and give you clear notes on what we find to share.
We cover Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, including the Broxtowe borough areas west of the city. If you are unsure whether we reach your address, give us a call and we will confirm quickly.
Rats come for food, water and shelter. Accessible waste, open drains, bird feed and gaps in buildings can all draw them in.

Cockroaches are rarely a single sighting. By the time one runs across the floor in the light, there is usually a group hiding in warm gaps nearby.
Read the advice →For a cafe, restaurant or pub, a single sighting can mean a bad review or a visit from environmental health. A planned approach keeps small problems small.
