Daybrook has Victorian and inter-war houses, and bed bugs can settle in either. We inspect, treat and explain exactly what to do before and after.
Daybrook, a suburb of Arnold in Gedling borough, mixes Victorian and inter-war houses. A Victorian home has older boards, thicker skirting and more gaps, while an inter-war semi has fitted carpets and built-in wardrobes. Bed bugs use whatever cover is available near the bed. Often the first sign is a bite pattern, followed by tiny dark spots on bedding that you can easily mistake for dirt.
We take time over the inspection, because finding the real extent of an infestation is what makes treatment work. We treat the bed and the places around it and describe the washing and aftercare. We offer appointments to suit and fixed cost pricing, so you know where you stand before we begin any work.
They can be bed bug droppings or blood spots. They smear when wet. Together with bites and shed skins on seams, they are a strong sign. We can confirm on inspection.
That depends on how many bed bugs there are and how widely they have spread. Some cases need a follow-up visit, which we explain after the inspection.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.
