Older terraces and later homes sit side by side in Netherfield. We inspect each bedroom carefully, treat bed bugs and explain what comes next.
Netherfield, with its railway history, has older terraces next to later housing, close to Colwick. In the terraces, bed bugs can move through party walls and floor gaps, so a neighbour's problem can become yours. In later houses, they are often confined to the bedroom where they arrived. The first step in either case is finding exactly where they are hiding.
We inspect carefully, because a thorough search saves repeated treatments. We look at mattress seams, slats, headboards and the skirting, then treat accordingly. If you rent, we can explain our findings for your landlord. We are a BPCA member, and our appointments are arranged to suit you, including same day visits, where our diary allows.
Beds, sofas and upholstered chairs can hold bed bugs. Inspect seams, joints and undersides before bringing anything in, and avoid items with dark spots or shed skins.
We can only treat what we are asked to treat, but we can advise you on protecting your own home. The tenancy or council may help with shared problems.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.
