Daybrook's Victorian and inter-war housing has plenty of older roof timber. When squirrels move in, we find the gap, deal with them and advise on repairs.
Daybrook is a suburb of Arnold north of Nottingham, with Victorian and inter-war housing. Both ages have roof timber that has had decades of weather. Victorian terraces tend to fail at the eaves and chimney details, inter-war semis at the soffits and barge boards. A squirrel will exploit whichever has opened up first. A sudden burst of noise on a quiet afternoon, with thumps and running overhead, often marks the animal returning to its nest.
Our visit starts with a survey of the loft and roof exterior. We then deal with the problem lawfully and appropriately, and recommend repairs. Visits can be arranged at times that suit you, and a free prevention survey is part of the service. Note that the old website spelled the name Day Brook; either way, you are within our area.
They can gnaw timber such as fascias, rafters and boards, and they pull apart insulation for nests. Chewed cables are the most serious concern, as they can be a fire risk.
Daybrook is part of Arnold in Gedling borough, and we regularly cover it. Call us with your address and we will arrange a convenient time.
Yes. They can chew timber, insulation and cables, and cable damage can be a fire risk.
