A small minster town with older buildings and farmland around it, Southwell's cafes, inns and farm shops see both town and country pests.
Southwell has the compact feel of a small town, with older property clustered near the Minster, but it is surrounded by farmland, and that matters. Fields and orchards, including the apple-growing tradition the town is known for, keep rodents and wasps nearby, and they readily move into buildings at the edge. A farm shop, tearoom or inn in this setting must watch for pests arriving from both directions.
Our free survey covers the premises, outbuildings, stores and the line where the property meets open land. The free written inspection report records the findings, and we recommend visits to suit the season, with extra attention in autumn when wasps and rodents peak at different times. Appointments are arranged to suit you. Please point out any outbuildings, orchards or fields that adjoin the property, as these help us judge where pressure is likely to come from.
Yes, they are drawn to sweet food and can become a problem on a busy day. Wasp nests grow through summer, so early action is easier. We can look at where the nest is and plan a safe visit.
Both, in effect. We check the retail area, stores and outbuildings, and the boundary with the fields. The written report separates what applies to each part so you can act on it. Call and tell us where you saw them.
