A small minster town of older property with farmland around it, Southwell sees cockroaches in kitchens and cellars rather than countryside. We inspect and treat.
Older houses and converted buildings in a small town often have thick walls, cool pantries and kitchens fitted into spaces that were once something else. These give cockroaches shelter without much disturbance. Visitors and deliveries to cafes, guest rooms and holiday lets add the chance of insects arriving in bags and boxes. Where several people share a kitchen, agreeing who empties the bin and clears surfaces is as useful as any product.
The farmland around the town makes little difference to cockroaches, which live indoors, but it does matter for mice and rats, so we check the cause before assuming. After identifying the species, we treat the harbourages and the routes between them, and give advice on food storage, cleaning, bins and where sealing would help. A torch and a few minutes behind the cooker will often show more than a long search of the room.
Possibly. Beetles and other insects can look similar at a glance. If you can catch one in a jar we can identify it, which also tells us whether treatment is needed at all. We encourage questions at any stage.
Cockroaches can arrive in luggage or deliveries. We inspect guest rooms, kitchens and storage, treat what we find and advise on checks between guests. This is normal, and nothing to be embarrassed about. Each building is different, so we adapt to it.
They can arrive in deliveries, boxes or from neighbouring properties and settle where there is warmth, food and moisture.
