In a mixed area like Stockhill, ants may come from a garden lawn or a yard wall. We find the nest and treat it, at a fixed cost with no call-out charges.
Housing in this part of north-west Nottingham ranges from older streets to post-war semis, so ant problems vary from house to house. Older properties often have gaps around pipes and thresholds; post-war homes with gardens may have nests in lawns or beneath concrete paths. A lawn showing small mounds of fine soil after dry spells can be a hint of a nest nearby.
We find the species first, as it affects where the nest is and how it is dealt with. Then we treat the nest or the route, and show you where ants are getting in. Fixed cost pricing applies and we make no call-out charges. If it turns out the ants are coming from a shared wall, we will tell you plainly.
Yes, many garden ants nest under turf and paving edges. You may see small mounds of fine soil. Treatment targets the nest, so it helps to show us where you have seen activity.
Ants travel some distance, so a neighbour's garden can be the source. We trace the line and explain what can be done from your side and what needs agreement.
Ants follow trails to food, so crumbs, spills and open food can attract them.
