A riverside village with a bridge, a lock and plenty of outbuildings gives wasps shelter. We treat Gunthorpe nests for a fixed £90.
Gunthorpe is a riverside village on the Trent, known for its bridge and lock. Riverside properties often have boat stores, summer houses, decking and timber cladding, all of which create dry cavities. In late summer the busy riverside also brings food waste, ice cream and drinks, which draw wasps close to people. A nest in a hut or under decking may only be noticed when someone is stung.
We treat the nest for a fixed £90 and aim for a same day visit. Businesses near the water should tell us when customers are about, and where the wasps are most seen. Keep bins sealed and drinks covered outdoors, and avoid disturbing timber stacks, decking boards or old boats until the nest has been dealt with. Mention if the property is on a private road or gated.
Yes, if the location can be reached safely. Tell us about the building and how it opens. Small timber structures are common nest sites. Boats, jetties and sheds may be locked, so please arrange for a key to be available on the day.
They can. Decking and raised timber floors offer shelter. Wasps going in and out between boards point to it. Stay clear and call us. Wasps are sheltered by the boards from rain and wind, and the gap below is warm and dry.
A wasp nest treatment is a fixed cost of £90. There is no call-out charge.
