Older houses and newer infill, with the Trent and the A1 close by, give wasps many places to start. We treat South Muskham nests for a fixed £90.
South Muskham is a village north of Newark near the River Trent and the A1, with older houses and newer infill. Older houses can have wasps in chimney voids and roof timbers, while infill plots have newer soffits, sheds and fences. If you are unsure which part of the building is affected, note the time of day and the direction in which wasps leave and return. Mid-afternoon on a warm day is when traffic is most noticeable.
We aim to visit the same day, and the treatment is a fixed £90. Newer infill houses are often tucked behind older ones, with shared drives, so tell us the route in. If a hedge between plots hides the nest, the neighbour may need to give permission before treatment. Tell us whether the property is behind a gate. Tell us if a gate code or key is needed.
Warm mid-afternoon sunshine, when wasps are most active. Watch from indoors or a safe distance and note the spot where they come and go. Do not stand too close, because wasps at the entrance may become defensive if you block their flight path.
If so, we need the occupier's agreement to treat it. We can advise on how to approach them. Tell us what you know about the other plot and who looks after the hedge, and we will advise.
A wasp nest treatment is a fixed cost of £90. There is no call-out charge.
