Historic buildings around the castle and market square have roofs, cellars and walls that suit wasps. We treat Newark-on-Trent nests for a fixed £90.
Newark-on-Trent is a historic market town on the River Trent, with Newark Castle, a large market square and older town-centre property beside later housing. Old buildings mean old roofs: parapets, valleys, loose lead and deep chimney stacks. A nest above a shop or flat can be reached only by roof access, and tenants may see wasps long before the owner does. Stallholders and cafes around the square should watch for wasps at sweet and savoury waste.
We treat the nest for a fixed £90 and visit the same day where we can. Tell us if the building is listed or has a managing agent, as access arrangements may take a call or two. For houses on newer estates, eaves and sheds are the usual places, and the process is the same. Access via a shop or flat may need a keyholder.
Treatment mainly depends on safe access. Tell us about the building and who controls the roof. We avoid damage, and repairs to the fabric should come after the nest has gone. Treatment is the same fixed cost, but we do need clear details of height and roof type.
Sugary drinks and food waste draw them in, especially in late summer. That does not always mean a nest on site, but heavy traffic to one spot does. Keeping lids on bins and clearing tables quickly lowers the number of wasps drawn to the area.
A wasp nest treatment is a fixed cost of £90. There is no call-out charge.
