Older houses and newer infill in South Muskham sit near the Trent and the A1. If squirrels are in the loft, we find the way in and advise.
South Muskham is a village north of Newark near the River Trent and the A1, with older houses and newer infill. The two housing types can both suffer. Older properties have worn timber and traditional eaves; infill homes have tighter roofs but may have small defects at junctions with neighbouring buildings. Riverside trees and hedges give squirrels a way across gardens. A squirrel heard at dusk is often returning to its nest after feeding.
We survey the loft and roof exterior, trace the entry points and carry out treatment lawfully. We follow with advice on proofing, which is free with the treatment. Fixed cost pricing and no call-out charge apply. The neighbouring village of North Muskham has a similar mix, so a gap you find may be a common local type.
Squirrels are most active around dawn and dusk, going out to feed and returning to nest. If your noise follows that pattern, a squirrel is more likely than a rat or mouse.
We cover South and North Muskham, north of Newark. Call with your address and we will arrange a visit to suit you.
Yes. They can chew timber, insulation and cables, and cable damage can be a fire risk.
