Whether you live in a flat or a terrace, bed bugs need a proper search before any treatment. We confirm the problem and treat it at the source.
Hyson Green mixes Victorian terraces with post-war flats, and bed bugs behave differently in each. In flats, they can pass between neighbouring homes along pipework, sockets and shared walls. In terraces, they exploit old skirting and floorboards. In both, the first sign is often itchy bites in lines or clusters, sometimes with tiny dark spots on bedding. We inspect before treating so that nothing is guessed.
Tenants often ask who is responsible and what to say to a landlord. We can give you a clear written view of what we find, without judging anyone, since bed bugs are not a sign of dirt. Our prices are fixed and we make no call-out charge, so you know what to expect before we start.
That depends on your tenancy agreement and your landlord, and we cannot decide it for you. We can inspect, explain what we find and provide details you can share with them.
Sofa beds, upholstery seams and the frames underneath all give bed bugs somewhere to hide. We check these during the inspection rather than looking at the mattress alone.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.

A mouse needs a gap of only around a centimetre. In Hyson Green's terraces and post-war flats, the routes in are often pipes and cable gaps.
Read the advice →The small flying moth is not the one that eats your clothes. The damage is done by larvae, usually somewhere dark and undisturbed in a wardrobe or under a bed.
