Bed bugs turn up wherever people come and go, and a busy city sees plenty of coming and going. We inspect, treat and explain what to do next.
A city the size of Nottingham has constant movement: students arriving each autumn, visitors staying in short lets, workers living in converted flats above shops. Bed bugs ride along on luggage, bags and second-hand furniture, then settle into mattress seams and bed frames. The first step is always an inspection, because bites alone do not prove bed bugs and the insects hide in more places than most people expect.
Older buildings and basements can offer plenty of cracks and gaps behind skirting boards and floorboards, which makes thorough searching important. Treatment covers the bed, nearby furniture and the surrounding areas, and we explain what to wash and what to leave alone. We have been in the business since 1995, and all of our pricing is fixed.
They can. Bed bugs move along pipes, cable runs and gaps in shared walls, so neighbours sometimes need checking. We advise on what to tell your landlord or managing agent after the inspection.
We offer appointments to suit, including same day visits. Tell us which rooms you are sleeping in and whether you have seen live insects, and we will plan the inspection around that.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.
