A village next to the Trent and the A1 has farmland and river cover in easy reach. We help North Muskham households find the entry point and deal with the rats.
Village homes here sit among older houses and newer infill, with the Trent and farmland to hand. Rats can follow ditches and hedge lines straight to garden sheds, and from there into garages and kitchens. Households often notice it first through a pet's behaviour or a chewed bag of feed in an outbuilding. A new fence or extension can also shift rats into neighbouring properties by changing how they travel.
The survey covers garden, outbuildings and house, and we pay attention to side passages and the gaps between plots. Baiting or trapping is chosen to suit your household, with free pest prevention advice at the end. We are fully insured, our staff are CRB checked, and appointments can be set to suit your day.
It can. Digging, demolition and clearance disturb nests and rats may move to the nearest cover. If building work is happening next door, keep a lookout for new burrows or droppings.
We cover Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, including villages around Newark such as the Muskhams. Call with your address and we will arrange a visit.
Rats come for food, water and shelter. Accessible waste, open drains, bird feed and gaps in buildings can all draw them in.

You block the obvious holes and still hear scratching. Mice find the ones you did not know existed, and in a village house there are usually a few.
Read the advice →The older houses in a village often have cupboards that have not been emptied in years. Larvae love that. The damage appears slowly, then all at once.
