A village with older houses, newer homes and the river nearby. When fleas turn up, we treat carpets and furnishings and explain the next few weeks.
Few villagers expect fleas until the dog starts scratching in the night. North Muskham, with the Trent close by and fields beyond, offers dogs and cats long walks and plenty of contact with other animals. Fleas travel on all of them. Bring one into a warm house with a carpet and the cycle starts again, with each female laying eggs wherever the animal lies down.
Our visit covers the animal's resting places, the carpets around them and any upholstered furniture, then bedrooms if needed. Fixed cost pricing is agreed in advance. Free advice follows, including how long to keep vacuuming and why bedding needs a hot wash. For the pet itself, a vet will recommend a suitable product. Doing both makes a repeat less likely.
Waiting usually lets numbers grow, since a few fleas become many within weeks in a warm house. Treat the pet and the home early to avoid a bigger job. A small infestation costs less effort to clear.
We treat the carpets, stairs and upholstered furniture in the affected rooms, then advise on washing and vacuuming. We explain how long to keep pets and people out of the treated areas. Ask us if you are unsure about any item.
Yes. Pets should be treated as well, and your vet can advise on suitable flea treatment alongside the home treatment.

You block the obvious holes and still hear scratching. Mice find the ones you did not know existed, and in a village house there are usually a few.
