Worksop, in Bassetlaw, is a market town with the priory at its heart, older property close to the centre and later housing beyond. Older buildings can have shared walls, cellars and alterations that left unexpected gaps. Newer houses have different problems: shrunken fascias, door thresholds and pipe collars.
