Edwardian and inter-war houses with big lofts, extensions and garden rooms suit wasps. In West Bridgford we treat nests for a fixed £90.
West Bridgford is a large suburb south of the Trent, mostly Edwardian and inter-war houses with later developments. Many have extended lofts, loft conversions, bay windows and garden rooms, and each adds hidden cavities. On cricket and football match days the streets fill with visitors, so a nest by a front door or in a porch can matter more than usual. A nest built in a conversion void may be easy to miss until wasps appear at a skylight.
We agree the fixed £90 in advance and aim to visit the same day. If the nest is above a converted loft room, tell us how to reach the void, and whether there is any sign of the wasps indoors. Do not use sprays near the nest, as this can make wasps more defensive. Parking can be tight on busy match days, so tell us about any restrictions.
Voids behind knee walls and under eaves are quiet cavities that wasps like. Signs include buzzing in a wall or wasps at a roof window. Rooms in the roof may have panels that need to be lifted, so please clear the area around access hatches.
It deserves prompt attention, as visitors and the post are exposed to defensive wasps. Avoid the doorway where you can, and call us with the position of the nest. Visitors, deliveries and children coming and going all make a nest at a doorway more of a risk.
A wasp nest treatment is a fixed cost of £90. There is no call-out charge.
