Historic buildings have plenty of nooks where bed bugs can hide. We inspect Newark homes carefully and treat what we find.
Newark-on-Trent is a historic market town on the Trent, with Newark Castle and a large market square, and older town-centre property beside later housing. Old buildings often contain flats, uneven floors and gaps behind plaster and skirting, all useful to bed bugs. In later homes, the pests are usually closer to the bed. The method is the same: confirm first, then treat.
We inspect the mattress, frame, bedside furniture and room edges, then treat the areas affected and explain the preparation. Visitors to the town and people with spare rooms are among those who call us. We are a BPCA member and we are approved by Trading Standards through Buy With Confidence, so you can check our standing.
Often yes, because there are more gaps and hiding places. The inspection is more detailed and a follow-up visit may be needed. We explain this clearly after we have looked.
It is a Trading Standards approval scheme. We are approved through it, so our business has been checked. It is one way to know you are using a reputable company.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.
