Rows of semi-detached houses with garages and sheds give wasps a lot of quiet corners. In Carlton we treat nests for a fixed £90.
Carlton is a suburb east of Nottingham with inter-war and post-war semi-detached housing in Gedling borough. A semi has a loft, eaves, often a garage and a shed, so there are four or five sheltered spots before you reach the garden fence. Wasps seldom announce a new nest. The first sign is often one or two workers in the kitchen on a warm afternoon, which is a signal to start looking outside at roof height.
We treat the nest for a fixed £90, with appointments to suit your day. Many Carlton homes are occupied by commuters, so say what time you will be back and where we can reach the nest without you. Wasps are most active in warm sunshine, which is also when the entrance is easiest to see. Leave side gates unlocked if you are out.
We offer appointments to suit, and for outside nests you do not always need to be there. Tell us the access arrangements and where the wasps are going. Leave a contact number and any gate details, and we will confirm the arrangements with you.
Workers wander in through open windows, but a steady stream suggests a nest nearby, often in the eaves or wall cavity. Watch where they come from and tell us. Closing the window and the kitchen door while you wait for the technician stops them spreading through the house.
A wasp nest treatment is a fixed cost of £90. There is no call-out charge.
