Ants around Sneinton homes and market stalls follow food and warmth. We trace the trail to the nest and treat it, at a fixed cost with no call-out charges.
Sneinton has Victorian terraces and the Sneinton Market area, and both attract ants for different reasons. At home it is usually a nest under a yard or along a wall. Around a market or food unit it is more often crumbs, produce and waste stored close to the door. Ants will return to any reliable food, so the cause is as important as the colony itself.
We treat the nest or the routes the ants use and then go through the food and waste storage that keeps them coming. In a terrace, that means looking at the yard edges and the kitchen door. In a small commercial unit, it means stock handling and bins. We charge fixed cost prices and make no call-out charges.
Yes, they can contaminate food and are a problem for hygiene inspections. Treating the nest is only part of it; good storage and waste handling keep them from returning.
Watch which direction ants travel and where they carry food. The trail usually leads towards the nest. If you cannot trace it, we can follow it and confirm the location.
Ants follow trails to food, so crumbs, spills and open food can attract them.
