Newly built homes can still get ants from turf, patios and landscaping. We trace the trail and treat the nest. Fixed cost pricing and no call-out charges.
A new development brings disturbed ground, fresh turf and newly laid patios, all of which ants colonise quickly. Builders' gaps around pipes and door frames that have not yet been sealed or settled can let foragers in. New residents often assume ants should not appear in a new house, but the garden and the ground beneath are what matter.
We trace the trail and treat the nest, then go through typical new-build weak points: pipe holes, door thresholds and the junction of patio and wall. A free pest prevention survey is included with treatments, so you can follow up with the builder on any gaps. We explain what we find in plain terms.
They live in the ground, not the building. New turf, patios and gaps give them a way in. A nest can build up quickly in disturbed soil.
If the gaps are building faults, it is worth reporting them. We can tell you where ants are getting in.
Ants follow trails to food, so crumbs, spills and open food can attract them.

Newly built does not mean moth-free. The holes in a cashmere scarf are made by tiny larvae, and they can arrive in a box from an older home you moved from.
