Farmland around the house makes no difference to bed bugs, which live indoors near sleepers. We inspect Staunton homes and treat the bugs we find.
Staunton is a rural village in the Newark and Sherwood area, surrounded by farmland. Bed bugs are an indoor problem, and they are brought in rather than found outside. A hotel stay, a friend's sofa or a bed from a sale are typical sources. In village homes, the pests often stay within one bedroom for a while, which makes early action valuable.
We look carefully at the bed, headboard and nearby furniture, then at the skirting and the edges of the carpet. After treating, we explain how to launder bedding and how to reduce the chance of a return. We are BPCA members, and our pricing is fixed, so there are no surprises when we visit a village address.
Wait for the inspection. Bed bugs also hide in frames and furniture, so a new mattress in an untreated room can be affected as well.
Early. A small population is easier to deal with than one that has spread through a house. If you suspect bed bugs, avoid moving bedding and call us.
No. Bed bugs are picked up from travel, second-hand furniture and visitors, and can appear in clean homes and hotels.

In a village with fields at the end of the garden, an ant trail can run a long way before it reaches your back door. Follow it before you spray anything.
